Welcome to my website. I graduated from University of Teeside, Middlesbrough, Cleveland College of Art and Design in 2001 with a B.A. Hons in Photography. In my final end-of-year show (exhibition), I exhibited a series of images, which explored environmental issues and landscape together. Issues covered were topics such as industrialisation, pollution and renewable energies. These were also analised in my dissertation I worked on at the same time, looking at landscape - celebratory and critical. The photographs contained in this website mainly consist of landscape, weddings and portraiture. At present, I am a freelance photographer generalising in most areas of photography but mainly social photography including weddings, christenings, studio portraiture, location portraiture and still life. I also undertake industrial and commercial work, as well as landscapes. I have a strong interest in landscape photography and the environment. The majority of landscape work I do combines these interests using conceptual ideas to put a message across. I find that this makes my images more unique and visually interesting, conveying a meaning as well as looking at landscape in a more unique fashion. The images themselves were a mixture of conceptual ideologies, conveying satire and irony. I juxtaposed certain elements within the landscapes and also juxtaposed images together to give more impact to the viewer. I hope to have more exhibitions later on and to create more informative, creative imagery of this kind.
